How to Make Split Pea Soup – Gluten Free Recipe

Ingredients:
1 Whole Onion – Medium Dice
1 Whole Carrot – Peeled and Medium Dice
2 Celery Stalks – Medium Dice
1 Lb. Green Split Peas

Directions:
1) Prepare all veggies for soup
2) Sautee/Sweat veggies in a 4 Qt Stock Pot for 5 minutes (until tender)
3) Add 2 Quarts (8 Cups) Stock or Water and bring to boil
4) Add the split peas and reduce to simmer for 1 hour
5) Add salt and pepper to taste
6) Serve. Yields 6-8 serviings
