Aloo puri is a deep-fried Indian bread with potato and spices. It is an interesting twist to the regular puri made with plain wheat flour! It is an awesome breakfast/brunch/snack recipe.. Serve it as such or with ketchup/chutney/curries!!

Ingredients for Aloo Puri:

Wheat Flour/Atta – 1 cup;
Potato – boiled, peeled and mashed, ½ cup;
Semolina/Suji/Rava – 2 tbsp (optional);
Spices – 1 tsp Red chilli powder, 1 tsp garam masala powder, ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp cumin/jeera powder, ½ tsp black salt (optional);
Cooking oil/Ghee – 1 tbsp;
Salt to taste;
Coriander leaves/cilantro – 2 tbsp finely chopped;
Water – to prepare the dough;
Oil for deep-frying
