The Beer Chicks’ French 75 Recipe:

For the Lavender Syrup:

2 tsp. fresh, dried lavender
1-cup sugar
1-cup water

Directions:

Heat the water, sugar, and lavender in a saucepan until it boils, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and cool.
Strain into another vessel, removing lavender.
Chill and add to drink! (Also great on vanilla gelato and in Greek yogurt!)

Ingredients for Drink (makes 1 cocktail):

1 ½ oz. Cognac
1 oz. freshly squeezed and finely strained lemon juice
½ oz. lavender syrup (or simple syrup if you can’t make the lavender)
Unibroue Fin Du Monde (or Belgian-style Tripel from another brewery)
*For Gluten-free cocktail use Green’s Tripel (what we used in the show)
Lemon zest to garnish

Directions:

Add the Cognac, lemon juice, and lavender syrup to a Boston shaker.

Add ice and shake.

Strain into a tall thin glass filled with crushed ice.
Top with Fin du Monde or Green’s Tripel.
Garnish with lemon zest et voila!!
A votre santé! French 75 — The Beer Chicks’ way!
