Gluten Free Pizzelles

[ad_1]

A pizzelle is a traditional Italian cookie that doesn’t involve turning on the oven to get the job done. Instead, with only five ingredients, you’ll be able to whip up a quick batter and bake these pizzelles on a pizzelle iron reminiscent of the way waffles are made. For generations these thin crispy cookies have been a big part of the holiday dessert table in most Italian families. In this gluten free version I’ve converted the traditional pizzelle recipe by replacing the flour, and leavening agents in my old recipe with an equal measure of gluten free Bisquick. You’ll be amazed when you discover how simple these are to make. And, if you’re not following a gluten free diet visit the website and check the recipe notes for the amounts in the original recipe.
