How To Hard Boil an Egg
1. Place the eggs in a saucepan and fill with enough cold water to cover the eggs.
2. Place the pan over high heat and bring to a boil.
3. Once the water begins to boil, turn off the heat and cover the pan immediately.4.Let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10-12 minutes (10 for medium eggs, 11 for large eggs and 12 for jumbo eggs).
5. Drain the eggs and place them in a bowl with ice water to cool.
6. If you like to eat hard-boiled eggs warm, take the egg out of the ice bath when it is just cool enough to handle, crack and peel.
7. If you would like the hard-boiled eggs cold, then leave them in the water until they are completely cool.

Then drain and transfer to the refrigerator.
