What? You don’t like Guinness? Well me neither but that doesn’t matter because this recipe just takes the malty, wholesome flavour of Guinness and turns these cakes into ultra-moist, chocolatey, pint-shaped squishy dreamy things!
Recipe –
125ml Guinness Original
125g unsalted butter, cubed
140g plain flour
35g cocoa powder
200g caster sugar
1.25 tsp bicarbonate of soda
70g soured cream
1 large free range egg
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
For the cream cheese icing
75g cream cheese icing
120g cream cheese
420g icing sugar, sifted
