You will need –
Some cupcakes – (Recipe: http://crmbs.co/14juE)
Some buttercream – (Recipe: http://crmbs.co/pkyM)
A selection of different coloured sugar paste (fondant)
Gum tragacanth – about half a teaspoon to a fist-sized amount of sugar paste (optional)
Small rolling pin (non-stick if poss)
A selection of different sized circle cookie cutters
Various other bits and bobs to poke holes, make patterns, etc
A fine paint brush and some water
