Marcus’ skillet chicken with gin candied orange is a super delicious dinner idea.

INGREDIENTS
Chicken:
3 lbs bone in chicken thighs
¼ lb thyme fresh
¼ lb marjoram fresh
8 garlic cloves
Oil for searing thighs
Butter for finishing thighs

Gin-Candied Oranges:
1 large orange
1 vanilla bean
½ cup sugar
2oz gin
1 cup water

RECIPE

Chicken:
Heat a cast iron skillet to high heat and season chicken thighs with salt and pepper.

Place the thighs skin-side down into the pan to sear, add herbs, stir, flip thighs, add garlic, add butter, and baste the chicken throughout then flip, continue to cook the chicken until cooked all the way through.

Gin-Candied Oranges:
Slice the kumquats super thin and put into a pot add everything else and bring to a boil. Drop heat and let simmer for 15 mins. Top chicken, enjoy.
