Here is how Chef Priya prepares “Thalipeeth”, one of the popular traditional Maharashtrian recipes. It is usually served with ghee or thick curd.

Ingredients
1 medium bowl of semolina (rawa)
1 Medium onion, chopped
1 tbsp Jaggery
2 tbsp grated coconut
1 tbsp chopped green chilles
Salt to taste

Method:
Take Semolina in a bowl
Add two cups of water and blend the mixture together with a spoon
Add chopped onions, jaggery, green chillies, grated coconut and salt
Mix it well
Heat and grease a non-stick tava.
Spread a layer of the batter to form a pancake of 4 mm thickness.
Cook on both sides till golden brown, using a little oil.
Repeat to make more thalipeeth out of remaining batter
Serve hot with a dollop of home-made white butter.
