The ingredients chosen are sweet potatoes, silken tofu, and nutmeg. Based on requests received Candice has decided to take her 3 ingredients and make a sweet potato burger. To get started with Candice’s recipe simply roast some sweet potatoes in the oven. Take out your roasted sweet potato, cut it up, put it in a bowl, grab a fork and just mash it. Then take your tofu and crumble it on top as seen in the video.

Next, finely chop one onion, put it into a bowl and cook it down a bit. Add that to the bowl along with chopped cilantro, corn, panco bread crumbs, cayenne pepper, white pepper, garlic powder, paprika and finally nutmeg. Mix this all together until your reach a consistency similar to that of actual ground beef. Now, roll up some good sized balls using the mixture you’ve just created and flatten them out on the counter. Depending on the size of your buns you may need larger balls. The idea is to make sure that the burger you create is a good match for the size of your buns.

Place your sweet potato burgers into a hot frying pan cooking them for 3-5 minutes on each side. After that place them on your grill until you reach the desired level of grilled goodness you’re looking for. Finally put the sweet potato burger on a bun and add your choice of toppings.
