BETH’S HOMEMADE WAFFLE RECIPE
Makes 12 waffles
INGREDIENTS:
1 ½ cup (180g) flour
1 tbsp (15 ml) baking powder
½ tsp (2.5ml) baking soda
½ tsp (2.5ml) salt
1 tbsp (15 ml) sugar
2 eggs
1 cup (240 ml) of milk
1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
8 tbsp (120 ml) melted butter
¾ cup (180 ml) club soda
powdered sugar for garnish
METHOD:
Whisk together the flour, baking powder, soda, salt and sugar.
Add the eggs, milk and vanilla, melted butter and club soda.
Heat waffle iron to medium-high heat, pour ¼ cup of batter into each well allow to set for 15 secs then lower top to close and cook.
STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE WAFFLEWICH
Makes 1 Serving
½ tsp (2.5 ml) lemon zest into waffle batter dollops
2 homemade waffles or Eggo frozen waffles
1 scoop Breyers Creamery Style French Vanilla Ice Cream
¼ cup (60 ml) sliced strawberries
1 tsp (5 ml) freshly chopped mint
garnish with powdered sugar
BLACK MAGIC
Makes 1 Serving
1 tsp (5 ml) Hershey Dark Chocolate Chipits into waffle batter dollops
2 homemade waffles or Eggo Frozen waffles
1 scoop Breyers Creamery Style Dark Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream
2 tsp (10 ml) sliced almonds
garnish with powdered sugar
TOFFEE CRUNCH GELATO
Makes 1 serving
1 tsp (5 ml) Skorbits in waffle batter dollops
2 homemade waffles or Eggo Frozen Waffles
1 scoop Breyers Vanilla Caramel Gelato
1 tsp (5 ml) chopped pecan
garnish with powdered sugar
