The English tradition of making meat pies dates all the way back to the 14th century when families were looking for a creative way to use left over meat. It originated in the north of England and Scotland where there are large numbers of sheep–hence the name. Sitting down to a generous helping of this comforting dish is a true pleasure, enjoy!
