Stollen is a traditional German bread for Christmas. I have only learned about it after moving to Germany. Our bakery next door is selling them for like 1.65 euro per 100g. I guess it’s worth the time & effort to bake them from home.
This recipe will give you 2 stollens each for around 800g. We had no problem by finishing one of them within a day. They are great for breakfasts, desserts after a meal or simply as snacks. I will bring the 2nd one to my in laws for Christmas this year, if I could keep it away from my hubby.
The smell from yeast dough & baked candied fruits are one of the great things during Christmas. You could leave marzipan in this recipe, but it definitely tastes better with.
So this is my last cooking video for this year. We are going to visit my in laws for Christmas next week, then we are flying to Hong Kong for new years eve after. I will post some vlogs if possible, otherwise we will see us next year again & cook some more delicious things together.
Thanks for watching my video, don’t forget to subscribe.
