Easy Homemade Chocolate Cake from Scratch by Cookies Cupcakes and Cardio

In this video we’ll show you how to make an easy homemade chocolate cake from scratch.

Easy chocolate cake ingredients for recipe:
2 cups AP flour (240g)
1 1/2 cups sugar (300g)
1 teaspoon baking power
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk (240mL)
1/2 cup butter (120g)
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ounces of baking chocolate

**Substitute for baking chocolate-3 tablespoons of cocoa +1 tablespoon of crisco =1 oz of unsweetened baking chocolate**

In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the dry ingredients. Add butter cut into small cubes, a few cubes at a time, and mix until the batter appears grainy with a sand-like texture to it. Slowly add the milk, and the vanilla. Next, add the eggs and chocolate, and mix until combined.
Grease two 9″ round cake pans, or one 9″x13″ cake pan at 350F for 30-35 or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean. Allow to cool in the pan for 5-10 minutes, remove from pan, and cool completely on a wire wrack. Frost as desired.
