I made it gluten-free by using a gluten-free flour blend that substitutes 1 for 1. I used almond milk for the icing and while I did use Trader Joes Chocolate Chips, if I had them, I would have used Enjoy Life’s Dairy Free, instead. Butter is still used, not making it completely dairy-free. Someone suggested coconut oil.
