http://www.thefndc.com/ The Flaming Sambuca is just the licorice flavored liquor, sambuca, lit on fire. Traditionally, you light the dark sambuca with three coffee beans dropped in it. You extinguish the flame and trap the vapors, inhaling the anise fumes that are burned off. It's trippy, after lighting sambuca on fire, it tastes different, a lot better.
The alternate version involves sloshing the sambuca in your mouth and lighting it on fire. It took me a couple of takes to resist the urge of spitting the fire out of my mouth. Once i got it, some guest stars wanted to try that version as well. Be careful, as you can get blistered from the heat (I did the next day).
Whichever version you attempt, the Flaming Sambuca is definitely an experience worth trying.
