This easy to follow gluten free recipe for chocolate brownies is perfect for the baking beginner or for those who have been diagnosed with an intolerance to gluten or wheat. This recipe is perfect to be enjoyed by all!

Ingredients
150g plain chocolate
100g butter*
200g sugar
100g gluten free plain white flour
1tsp gluten free baking powder
3 eggs**

150x200mm/6×8″ baking tray

Pre-heat your oven to
180°C/Fan 160°C/350°F/Gas 4

Free From ingredient swops
*100g vegan butter
**3 tbsp chickpea flour + 6 tbsp water

Method

1. Grease your baking tray and preheat the oven to 180°C/Fan160°C/350°F/Gas 4
2. Break the chocolate into pieces and microwave on full power for approx. 60 seconds (exact time will depend on chocolate)
3. Stir and microwave for a few more seconds if not melted
4. Add the butter to the warm chocolate and stir until it’s all combined
5. In a separate bowl, mix together Gluten Free Plain Flour, Gluten Free Baking Powder and sugar, you can omit the baking powder for more squidgy brownies
6. Beat in the eggs
7. Pour this into a 150x200mm/6×8″ parchment lined baking tray and smooth the top
8. Cook in the over for 22/25 minutes
9. Eat it as it is, add a dollop of ice cream or turn into an Eton Mess
