Turkey mince is great value, nutritious and DELICIOUS! Ideal for a money-saving meal and ready in just 15 minutes. Gobble them up, folks!

MAKES 6 | 15 MINUTES PREP | 20 MINUTES COOKING

1kg turkey mince
2 inch ginger, finely chopped
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 fresh chilli, finely chopped
4 spring onions, finely chopped
1/2 bunch of coriander (stalks and leaves), finely chopped
3 sprigs of mint leaves, finely chopped
generous tbsp soy sauce
splash of groundnut oil
1 tbsp sesame seeds

Combine all of your ingredients in a bowl (if you want a chunky, meaty patty, be sure not to over scrunch it).

Split your mixture into 6 generous patties.

They are ready to cook at this point BUT if you need them to bind more, add a splash of water and/or stick your patties in the fridge to set for at least an hour.

Add 1 tsp groundnut oil into a pan on a high heat. Pop in your patties and let them seal for 4 minutes on one side. Flip them over and reduce the heat to medium. They will likely need 10-15 minutes to cook through thoroughly. Keep turning them so they colour evenly on both sides. Be sure to watch the video to see the ‘finger-and-thumb’ method to check whether they are cooked.

Finish up with a sprinkling of sesame seeds and serve whichever way you like!
