How To Make 3 Berry Jam

Ingredients:

4 cups of berries: any combination of strawberries (quartered), blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, boysenberries, etc.
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick cinnamon
3 lemon peels
Juice of 1 lemon
Pinch of salt

Directions:

Put the berries and sugars in a pot and cook over low to medium heat until the sugar has dissolved. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring continuously. Turn down to a simmer and cook until the berries have broken apart and the mixture has thickened, about 15-20 minutes. Make sure to stir the jam frequently scraping the bottom of the pot so that it does not burn.

Once the jam has thickened remove from the heat and let cool. Discard the cinnamon stick.

Transfer the jam to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or in the freezer for a year.
