http://www.thefndc.com/mint-julep-recipe/ The Mint Julep is the official drink of the Kentucky Derby, but many people don’t know how to craft one with care. I’m going to show you how to make a Mint Julep; and soon you can be sipping this bourbon based drink all summer long. It’s off to the races!

MINT JULEP
===============
3 oz bourbon
2 tsp sugar
10 to 12 mint leaves
Crushed ice
Mint sprigs for garnish

Muddle 1.5 oz bourbon, sugar, and mint leaves in a short glass or the traditional silver cup. Top with crushed ice, add the rest of the bourbon. Top with your best looking mint sprigs, and serve with short straws. Take your time sipping, life isn’t in a hurry.

Peace out and Happy Drinking!
