Best Ever Gluten Free Pizza Crust
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon active dry yeast
2 1/2 teaspoons sugar
2/3 cup of milk (any kind)
2/3 cup potato starch
1/2 cup flour substitute (*I used Sorghum blend* recipe follows)
2 teaspoons xanthan gum
**optional – 2 teaspoons Expandex (modified tapioca starch)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon onion powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cider vinegar
1 tablespoon olive oil
Sorghum Blend
1 1/2 cups sorghum flour
1 1/2 cups potato starch or cornstarch
1 cup tapioca flour
In a small bowl mix together the yeast, sugar & milk. Let sit for a few minutes. Put the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and add the yeast mixture. Blend until combined. Press the mixture evenly on a greased 12 inch pizza pan or cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes at 425 degrees. Top with your favorite toppings & bake for another 15 mins at 425 degrees.
