The Gurkha Guerrilla
3/4 ounce cumin & tamarind simple syrup (see recipe below)
1 ounce mango juice
1 ounce fresh lime juice
2 ounces rum
Ice
Dried apricot for garnish

1.Into a cocktail shaker add simple syrup, mango juice, lime juice, and rum. Add enough ice to fill the shaker and shake. Strain into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with apricot.

Makes: 1

Cumin & Tamarind Paste Simple Syrup
2 cups water
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup tamarind paste
1/4 cup ground cumin

1.In a saucepot combine all the ingredients and cook over medium heat until the sugar and tamarind dissolve. Let simple syrup cool. Strain and store in a bottle or jar with a tight fitting lid. Keeps in the fridge for up to 1 month.
