http://www.thefndc.com/ Lagunitas Brewing Compnay offers a variety of ales; the one I'm reviewing today is called Lucky 13. It's a dark amber that falls somewhere between dark and sweet. There's enough hops for you to notice it's a little bitter, but nothing like Red Tail or stout levels. The aftertaste is sweet, there's a lot of caramel flavor in there. This is a perfect balance for someone like me who prefers dark ales, but doesn't always want something overpowering. Lagunitas Lucky 13 is the perfect amber that balances bitter and sweet with grace.
