12 large green chillies
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 cup gram flour
1 tsp salt
Water to make a thick batter
Oil for frying
250 gm potatoes
1 tsp chilli powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp amchur powder
2 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp fennel seed powder
2 green chillies finely chopped
¼ cup fresh coriander finely chopped
¼ tsp asafetida
Salt to taste


– Mix the potatoes, chilli powder, turmeric powder, amchur powder, coriander powder, fennel seed powder, green chillies, coriander and salt and make a tasty stuffing
– Make a thick batter using asafetida, gram flour, turmeric powder, salt and water.
– Slit the chillies length wise and remove the seeds and stuff it with the mixture well
– Heat the oil
– Dip the stuffed chilies in the batter and coat them well and fry them crisp and golden.
