Get patriotic this 4th of July, with this fun, non-alcoholic smoothie. There are a few steps involved, but a dip in the pool, and a bit of grilling later, and you’ve got yourself a fun, colorful Holiday drink! FULL RECIPE BELOW.

RED WHITE AND BLUE SMOOTHIES
MAKES 4 SERVINGS

INGREDIENTS:
Red Layer:
-3/4 c. whole milk
-1 c. fresh strawberries
-1 tsp. honey
-½ cup of ice cubes

White Layer:
-1/2 c. milk
-2 tsp. honey
-handful of ice cubes
-½ Vanilla Bean

Blue Layer:
-1/2 c. milk
-1 c. fresh blueberries
-1 tsp. honey
-handful of ice cubes

INSTRUCTIONS:
Red Layer:
-Put all ingredients for the red layer in a blender and blend. Pour equal amounts into 4 small glasses. Put the glasses in the freezer for 15 minutes or until frozen.

White Layer:
-Meanwhile, add the milk, honey and ice cubes into the blender and blend. Remove your glasses from the freezer, and pour equal amounts into the glasses and return to freezer for another 10-15 minutes.

Blue Layer:
-Finally, create your blue later by adding milk, blueberries, honey and ice cubes into a blender and blending. Remove glasses from freezer, add the blue layer, and then add back to the freezer for 10 minutes (last time we promise).

Take smoothies out of the freezer 10 minutes before ready to serve.
