2 bread slices, whole wheat
1 tbsp cream cheese, fat-free
1 tbsp almonds, slivered
2 tsp fruit preserves, favorite flavor
2 tbsp egg whites
2 tbsp milk, fat-free
6 strawberries, whole, fresh

1. Spread one side of one piece of bread with cream cheese, and then sprinkle evenly with almonds.
2. Spread one side of remaining piece of bread with fruit preserves.
3. Place both pieces of bread together, forming a sandwich.
4. Beat together egg whites and milk with a wire whisk. Pour into a shallow bowl.
5. Lightly spray a griddle or non-stick skillet with cooking spray, and heat over medium-low heat.
6. Dip each side of sandwich into egg mixture.
7. Cook sandwich 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown.
8. Cut in half diagonally and garnish with fresh strawberries that have been washed and sliced.
9. Serve immediately.
