{"id":13987,"date":"2016-07-18T14:55:56","date_gmt":"2016-07-18T13:55:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lovesharingfood.com\/cubano-sandwich-jen-phanomrat\/"},"modified":"2016-07-18T14:55:56","modified_gmt":"2016-07-18T13:55:56","slug":"cubano-sandwich-jen-phanomrat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovesharingfood.com\/cubano-sandwich-jen-phanomrat\/","title":{"rendered":"Cubano Sandwich | Jen Phanomrat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[ad_1]<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wV-vkGPQyLQ\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n[ad_2]<\/p>\n<p>Delicious layers of citrus marinated pork roast, ham, cheese, and pickles, all in toasty bread, make Jen&#8217;s version of this classic sandwich unforgettable.<\/p>\n<p>Subscribe to Jen&#8217;s channel: http:\/\/taste.md\/1T2BCK8<\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS <\/p>\n<p>For the roasted pork:<\/p>\n<p>3-4 lb pork shoulder<br \/>\n\u00bd cup freshly squeezed orange juice<br \/>\n\u00be cup freshly squeezed lime juice<br \/>\n2 tbsp red wine vinegar<br \/>\n2 tbsp vegetable oil<br \/>\n6 garlic cloves<br \/>\n2 tbsp fresh oregano<br \/>\n2 tsp cumin powder<br \/>\nSalt &#038; pepper <\/p>\n<p>For the sandwich:<\/p>\n<p>Hero sandwich bread<br \/>\nDeli sliced ham<br \/>\nSliced swiss cheese<br \/>\nSliced pickles<br \/>\nYellow mustard<br \/>\nButter for toasting bread<\/p>\n<p>RECIPE<\/p>\n<p>In a food processor, blend garlic, oregano, cumin, salt and pepper, and oil. <\/p>\n<p>Cut several slits across the pork shoulder. Stuff the slits with the garlic mixture and rub it all over the meat. <\/p>\n<p>Place seasoned pork and citrus juices and red wine vinegar in a gallon freezer bag. Let sit overnight in the fridge to marinate.<\/p>\n<p>Place marinated pork in a roasting rack, with the marinade in the roasting pan. Roast at 450F for 30 minutes. Remove from oven, loosely tent with foil, and roast at 375F for 2 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Once the pork is cooked and tender, let rest for 20 minutes, and then slice.<\/p>\n<p>Slice hero bread and butter. Toast in a pan until lightly golden. Smear mustard and layer roasted pork slices, ham, swiss cheese, pickles, and more mustard. <\/p>\n<p>Heat in the pan with a heavy pan to gently press the sandwich. Once the bread is golden and the cheese has melted, slice and serve.<br \/>\n___<\/p>\n<p>Follow us!
