I show you how to make these delicious little cookies step by step. They can be a bit fiddly, but they are well worth it. I say practice, practice, practice.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients: (makes about 30 macarons, depending on size you make them)<\/p>\n<p>1 cup of icing sugar<br \/>\n3\/4 cup of almond flour (almond meal)<br \/>\n2 large egg whites (or 3 small\/medium eggs)<br \/>\n1\/4 cup of castor sugar<br \/>\n1\/3 teaspoon of cream of tartar<br \/>\n1\/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract<br \/>\nfood colouring<\/p>\n<p>Bake for about 10-12 mins at 160 degrees celsius on the bottom or top rack. Do not make these on a humid day, you need cooler weather so they don&#8217;t flop! Make sure you pipe them on a tray lined with baking paper. Turn the rack half way through the cooking time.
