{"id":22151,"date":"2017-01-17T15:55:23","date_gmt":"2017-01-17T15:55:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lovesharingfood.com\/herb-and-goat-cheese-baked-egg-boats-megan-mitchell\/"},"modified":"2017-01-17T15:55:23","modified_gmt":"2017-01-17T15:55:23","slug":"herb-and-goat-cheese-baked-egg-boats-megan-mitchell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovesharingfood.com\/herb-and-goat-cheese-baked-egg-boats-megan-mitchell\/","title":{"rendered":"Herb and Goat Cheese Baked Egg Boats | Megan Mitchell"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[ad_1]<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-iD3_D1Yhjk\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n[ad_2]<\/p>\n<p>Megan shows you a great breakfast or brunch idea today: Herb and Goat Cheese Baked Egg Boats.<\/p>\n<p>Subscribe to Megan: http:\/\/taste.md\/1XQc0AR<\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS<br \/>\n1 long baguette, sourdough<br \/>\n3 large eggs<br \/>\n2 tbsp.  heavy cream<br \/>\nSalt and pepper, to taste<br \/>\n2 tbsp. finely minced chives<br \/>\n1 tbsp. chopped flat leaf parsley<br \/>\n1 \u00bd tbsp. chopped basil<br \/>\n1 small lemon, zested<br \/>\n2 ounces soft goat cheese<br \/>\n\u00bd  cup arugula, preferably organic<br \/>\nExtra virgin olive oil, for drizzling<\/p>\n<p>RECIPE<br \/>\nPreheat oven to 350\u00b0F.<\/p>\n<p>Cut out a long oval section from the top \u00bc section of the baguette. Scoop out the inside bread and discard. You can use that for breadcrumbs if you want.<\/p>\n<p>Place on a sheet tray making sure it sits flat.<\/p>\n<p>In a bowl combine the eggs, cream and a pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk together. Next add in the chives, parsley and basil. Stir to combine. Lastly add in the lemon zest.<\/p>\n<p>Stuff the arugula into the hollowed out bread. Next pour in the egg mixture. Then crumble over the goat cheese, pressing it down into the mixture. Lastly drizzle with a little EVOO.<\/p>\n<p>Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the eggs are set. To serve slice up pieces of the bread boat and serve warm.<br \/>\n___<\/p>\n<p>Follow us!
