{"id":26815,"date":"2017-04-24T20:40:59","date_gmt":"2017-04-24T19:40:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lovesharingfood.com\/coffee-mousse-latte-art-l-5-second-rule-with-julie\/"},"modified":"2017-04-24T20:40:59","modified_gmt":"2017-04-24T19:40:59","slug":"coffee-mousse-latte-art-l-5-second-rule-with-julie","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovesharingfood.com\/coffee-mousse-latte-art-l-5-second-rule-with-julie\/","title":{"rendered":"Coffee Mousse Latte Art l 5 Second Rule with Julie"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[ad_1]<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BUwjl6pk-OI\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n[ad_2]<\/p>\n<p>Coffee-flavored mousse that looks like a barista-made latte from your favorite coffee shop.<br \/>\nSave this Recipe: https:\/\/taste.md\/2o2jFkt<\/p>\n<p>Come back EVERY Sunday for more Julie!<\/p>\n<p>INGREDIENTS:<br \/>\n2 egg yolks<br \/>\n1\/2 cup sugar<br \/>\n1 \u00bd tbsp cornstarch<br \/>\n2\/3 cup warm milk<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp vanilla extract<br \/>\n1 tbsp instant coffee<br \/>\n\u00bd tbsp gelatin powder<br \/>\n2 tbsp cold water<br \/>\n1 cup whipping cream, chilled<br \/>\nRoyal icing in white and beige<br \/>\n2 egg whites, beaten until foamy<br \/>\n3 cups powdered sugar<br \/>\n1 \u2013 2 T tsp water<br \/>\nBrown food colouring<\/p>\n<p>STEPS:<br \/>\nStir egg yolks with sugar until creamy and pale yellow colored. Stir in cornstarch. Gradually whisk in the warm milk until completely combined. Place the yolks mixture into a small saucepan and cook over low heat while stirring until boils and thickens. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and instant coffee. Let it cool. Dissolve gelatin in 2 tbsp cold water and leave for about 5 to 10 minutes. Place coffee mixture over low heat a add in the gelatin just until it melts, then remove form heat. Whip the cold whipping cream until stiff peaks form. Gradually incorporate into coffee mixture.<\/p>\n<p>Scoop the mousse into clear glass mugs and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight. <\/p>\n<p>For the icing: sift powdered sugar into a large bowl. Mix in beaten eggs, and whip for 5 min until stiff. Add water until desired consistency is reached. Divide into two bowls dying one a light tan brown. Place each color in a piping bag. Pipe the top of each mug with the brown and smooth out. Then pipe in the white and use a toothpick to drag through the icing.
