{"id":28791,"date":"2017-06-09T10:20:17","date_gmt":"2017-06-09T09:20:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lovesharingfood.com\/apple-butter-scones-the-tastemakers-jen-phanomrat\/"},"modified":"2017-06-09T10:20:17","modified_gmt":"2017-06-09T09:20:17","slug":"apple-butter-scones-the-tastemakers-jen-phanomrat","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovesharingfood.com\/apple-butter-scones-the-tastemakers-jen-phanomrat\/","title":{"rendered":"Apple Butter Scones | The Tastemakers-Jen Phanomrat"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[ad_1]<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Xccun5NeFsY\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n[ad_2]<\/p>\n<p>These buttery scones are flavored with apple butter and kissed with a warming maple glaze.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<p>2 \u00bc cups all-purpose flour<br \/>\n2 tsp baking powder<br \/>\n1 tsp ground cinnamon<br \/>\n\u00bc tsp salt<br \/>\n\u00bc cup butter, cubed and chilled<br \/>\n1 tbsp light brown sugar<br \/>\n2 eggs, at room temperature<br \/>\n\u00bd cup + 2 tbsp buttermilk<br \/>\n\u00bc cup apple butter<br \/>\n1 tbsp cinnamon + sugar mix, for the top<br \/>\nFor the glaze:<br \/>\n1 cup powdered sugar<br \/>\n8 tbsp pure maple syrup<br \/>\n4 tbsp butter, melted<br \/>\n1-2 tbsp milk<\/p>\n<p>Steps<\/p>\n<p>1.) Preheat oven to 425\u00b0F. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.<br \/>\n2.) In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add one egg at a time and mix. Then add buttermilk and apple butter. Mix well. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet, and mix just until combined.<br \/>\n3.) Pour mixture onto a floured surface. Use your hands or a roller to form a disk. Cut into slices, like triangles, and place on a parchment-lined baking tray. Brush the tops with buttermilk and sprinkle cinnamon sugar.<br \/>\n4.) Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until crusty and golden brown. Meanwhile, make the glaze by combining all ingredients in a bowl.<br \/>\n5.) Remove scones from oven and place on a wire rack.
