{"id":31431,"date":"2017-08-07T00:26:05","date_gmt":"2017-08-06T23:26:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lovesharingfood.com\/black-forest-cake-bites-l-the-tastemakers-julie-nolke\/"},"modified":"2017-08-07T00:26:05","modified_gmt":"2017-08-06T23:26:05","slug":"black-forest-cake-bites-l-the-tastemakers-julie-nolke","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lovesharingfood.com\/black-forest-cake-bites-l-the-tastemakers-julie-nolke\/","title":{"rendered":"Black Forest Cake Bites l The Tastemakers-Julie Nolke"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[ad_1]<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Uxb6G27IhD8\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>\n[ad_2]<\/p>\n<p>Why go through the effort of making an entire black forest cake, when you can make bites instead?<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<p>1 1\/2 cups flour<br \/>\n1\/2 cup cocoa<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp baking powder<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp baking soda<br \/>\n1\/4 tsp salt<br \/>\n8 tbsp butter, softened<br \/>\n1 cup sugar<br \/>\n1 egg<br \/>\n1 1\/2 tsp vanilla extract<br \/>\n1 cup semisweet chocolate chips<br \/>\n1\/2 cup sweetened condensed milk<br \/>\n1 jars maraschino cherries plus 2 tbsp juice<\/p>\n<p>Steps<\/p>\n<p>1.) Preheat oven to 350\u02daF. Line 2 baking trays with parchment paper.<br \/>\n2.) Whisk flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a bowl.  Using an electric mixer whip butter and sugar until pale and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and mix until incorporated. Slowly add in flour mixture and mix until dough forms.<br \/>\n3.) Heat chocolate chips and condensed milk in a saucepan over low heat until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in reserved cherry juice. Cover with foil or pot lid to keep warm.<br \/>\n4.) Working with 2 tbsp of dough at a time, roll into balls and space them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet. Using your thumb make an indent in the centre and place a cherry into the dent in each cookie. Top with 1 tbsp of the melted chocolate mixture.<br \/>\n5.) Bake for 10-12 minutes until just set. Let cool on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack.
