Light fluffy maple cupcakes filled with chunks of candied bacon and topped with a luscious cream cheese maple frosting<br \/>\n_______________\u2193\u2193\u2193\u2193\u2193\u2193 CLICK TO GET MORE LINKS AND RECIPES \u2193\u2193\u2193\u2193\u2193\u2193\u2193\u2193 _______________<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t miss a single recipe &#8211; Subscribe to my channel <\/p>\n<p>CANDIED BACON<br \/>\n(get more detail on making this here<br \/>\n1 lbs center cut thick cut bacon<br \/>\n1 C brown sugar<br \/>\n7 Tbsp rice vinegar<br \/>\n5 Tbsp maple syrup<br \/>\nPreheat the oven to 350<br \/>\nPlace a cooling rack in side a jelly roll pan (I put a silicone mat underneath to make clean up easier)<br \/>\nThen lay out your bacon flat over the top (You can put them super close but NOT overlapping).<br \/>\nPlace it in the oven for 10 mins, then flip the bacon and cook another 5 mins.<br \/>\nWhile that&#8217;s cooking mix the brown sugar, maple syrup and rice vinegar.<br \/>\nPull out the bacon and brush the sugar coating onto it, then cook another 5 mins.<br \/>\nEvery 5 mins flip the bacon and brush on more coating.<br \/>\nThis took me anywhere from 8-10 flips, its slow coming up to cooked, but then it goes from perfect to burnt fast.<br \/>\nIt will still be SOFT when it&#8217;s done, so don&#8217;t keep cooking until it&#8217;s crunchy or it will BURN.<br \/>\nGo by looks, it will shrink a bit, the red will get dark, the edges will get crunchy.<br \/>\nLeave them to cool and they will harden up!<br \/>\nServe by itself, in cupcakes, on top of ice cream or anywhere your brave enough to try<\/p>\n<p>MAPLE BACON CUPCAKES<br \/>\n2 C vanilla sugar (make vanilla sugar<br \/>\n3 1\/2 C cake flour (homemade cake flour  )<br \/>\n1 Tbsp baking powder<br \/>\n1 teaspoon baking soda<br \/>\n1 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n1\/2 C butter softened<br \/>\n4 large eggs, room temperature<br \/>\n2\/3 C plain greek yogurt or sour cream<br \/>\n1\/2 C mayo<br \/>\n1 \u00bd Tbsp vanilla<br \/>\n1 1\/2 tsp maple extract<br \/>\n1 1\/3 cup whole milk<br \/>\n8 strips candied bacon diced<br \/>\npreheat oven to 350<br \/>\nIn a medium-sized mixing bowl or bowl of a stand mixer, mix together cake flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.<br \/>\nAdd the vanilla bean sugar and mix until well combined.<br \/>\nAdd butter and mix on medium-low speed until you end up with a fine crumb<br \/>\nIn a small mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, yogurt, mayo, vanilla and maple extract until smooth.<br \/>\nAdd the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and beat on medium speed until just combined.<br \/>\nSlowly add milk and mix on low speed until just combined. The batter will be wet<br \/>\nFold in half the diced candied bacon<br \/>\nscoop into cupcake tins and sprinkle the rest of the bacon on top<br \/>\nbake 14-18 mins<\/p>\n<p>CREAM CHEESE MAPLE FROSTING<br \/>\n8 oz cream cheese<br \/>\n1 C butter<br \/>\n2-3 tsp maple extract<br \/>\n1 1\/2 lbs powdered sugar<br \/>\n3\/4 C heavy whipping cream<br \/>\n\u00bd tsp gelatin<br \/>\n1 Tbsp water<br \/>\nBeat the cream cheese and butter with whisks until smooth.<br \/>\nAdd the maple extract and beat until it&#8217;s incorporated<br \/>\nAdd the powdered sugar and beat until smooth<br \/>\nIn a small bowl stir the gelatin and water together, let it bloom then microwave for 30 seconds \u2013 let cool for about 5 mins<br \/>\nIn a separate bowl beat the whipping cream to stiff peaks, add the cooled gelatin<br \/>\nFold the stabilized whipped cream into the frosting a little at a time until your happy with the texture \u2013 you don\u2019t have to use it all.<\/p>\n<p>MORE VIDEOS<br \/>\nCandied Bacon (more detail)<br \/>\nBacon and Cheddar tator tots<br \/>\nCinnamon Rolls 5 ways<br \/>\nMarshmallow Fluff 2 ways<br \/>\nSnickers cupcakes <\/p>\n<p>ASHLEE MARIE is all about from scratch recipes, cake decorating tutorials and fun themed foods.
