Yummy Recipes For Kids – Mashed Potatoes

This Recipe Serves 4

INGREDIENTS
5-6 potatoes
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 Tbsp heavy cream
2 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp milk
Salt and Pepper A potato masher

METHOD

1 – Put potatoes into a saucepan
2 – Add 1/2-teaspoon salt
3 – Add water until potatoes are covered. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, 15-20 minutes, or until done. To check if they're well done, use a fork. The fork should slide smoothly.
4 – Warm cream and melt butter, together, either in microwave or in a pan on the stove.
5 – Drain water from potatoes.
6 – Put hot potatoes into a bowl. Add cream and melted butter.
7 – Use potato masher to mash potatoes until well mashed.
8 – Use a strong spoon to beat further, adding milk to achieve the consistency you desire. (Do not over-beat or your potatoes will get gluey.)

Add more salt pepper as per taste and enjoy it for breakfast or any other time of the day!
