A hot tea for a hot day? This Middle Eastern drink will make you forget all about ice cubes, even in the middle of the desert. FULL RECIPE BELOW
RECIPE
Serves 2-4
INGREDIENTS:
2 dried limes (loomi Omani)
4 cups water
ΒΌ cup honey
PROCESS:
1. Using a mortar and pestle, crush the dried limes, breaking them into pieces.
2. In a small saucepan, combine the water with the crushed limes and bring the mixture to a boil. Once the liquid is boiling, reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Remove the tea from the heat and strain it through a cheesecloth or coffee filter-lined fine mesh sieve and into a kettle or tea pot.
4. Add the honey to the tea. Stir and serve hot.
