Here are some tasty little snacks to keep your tummy and tastebuds feeling fine! Hope you’re all really well and January has been treating you deliciously.

THE RECIPES!
Mango Popsicles (sorry everyone in winter)
– 2 mangoes (we kindly got sent some beautiful mangoes from Aussie Mangoes – empowering and supporting local mango farmers and helping spread the love of the delicious fruit. Their Instagram is http://instagram.com/aussiemangoes/ if you need a mango fix)
– 1/4 tsp turmeric
– 1/4 tsp cardamom
– 1/2 cup of coconut yoghurt (or plant milk)
– juice of a lime
Blend everything together and then pour them into the mould of your choice (we use these – http://amzn.to/2jrWjFh). You can put some chunks of mango into the mixture if you’re feeling sassy.

Carrot Hummus
– 2 steamed carrots (or any sweet veggie)
– 2 tins of chickpeas (or cooked equivalent)
– 2 cloves of garlic
– 1/4 tsp of turmeric
– 1/2 tsp of cumin
– juice of a lime
– 1 tbsp of tahini
– 1 tbsp of nutritional yeast
Blend it all together, top with paprika and put it on everything.

Chocolate Granola
– 3 dates
– 2 tbsp cacao
– 1/2 tsp maca powder
– 1 tsp cinnamon
– 1 tbsp peanut butter
– 1/2 cup of plant milk or water
Blend everything together
– 2 cups of oats (or a mixture of oats and rice puffs like we did)
– a handful of nuts or seeds
Mix with the date/cacao paste (get your hands in there)
Toast in the oven at 180˚C (350˚F) for 15-20 mins. This will depend on your oven so check them after 10 mins (the granola gets crunchier after it cools so it doesn’t need to come out of the oven super crispy)
Add coconut and toast in the oven for another 10 mins or just get straight into it with some cold milk or on top of a smoothie bowl.

Roasted Chickpeas (oh my goodness so good)
– 2 cans of chickpeas
– juice of a lime
– 1/2 tsp of garlic powder
– 1/2 tsp of onion powder
– 1 tsp of smoked paprika
– 3 tbsp of nutritional yeast
Pat the chickpeas dry so there’s not too much liquid on them. Mix with everything, lick the deliciousness off of your fingers, and bake in the over at 200˚C (400˚F) for 15-20 mins. Again, it depends on your oven so check them after 10 mins.
We always eat them all in one sitting so you probably should to.

ENJOY :~)
